JFS is partnering with City Beet Farm this year! City Beet Farm is a small-scale, multi-site urban farm based in Riley Park - Little Mountain Neighbourhood in Vancouver. Farmers Liana and Duncan use ecological practices to grow vegetables and flowers on residential front and backyards around Vancouver, and community members can buy seasonal veggie shares as part of their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
City Beet Farm has received a grant to support JFS clients by providing $5,000 worth of local produce to the JFS Grocery Programs. We are excited about this opportunity to help our community access delicious fresh veggies!
