Please join us for the Annual General Meetings (AGM) of both JFS and JACS (Jewish Addiction Community Services). This event will provide an opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments over the past year, discuss upcoming goals, and collaborate on our future direction. It is also a chance for us to recognize the staff, volunteers, and community partners that have gone above and beyond in their support of our work.

This 45-minute talk will guide you through the practical, financial, and emotional factors to consider when planning
a move in later life, from independent and assisted living choices to health and community supports.
We’ll finish with 15 minutes of open Q&A to answer your questions.

Barbara is a certified professional consultant on aging and experienced advocate in both subsidized and
private long-term-care. She has authored “My Planning Guide and Personal Resources Book”
and the book “70 to 100 in a Blink – Lifestyle Planning, Support and Advocacy
for Seniors & Their Families – Solutions for a Better Life in Later Years.”

Join us for a creative and meaningful afternoon as we craft handmade felt poppy pins in honor of Remembrance Day.

Excavate & Express: Exploring Jewish Identity is a six-week online writing workshop for Jewish-identifying individuals. Through writing, reflection, mindfulness, and somatic practices, we’ll explore our identities, lineages, and stories in a supportive, small-group space.

No writing experience is needed, and sharing is always optional. This is a gentle, heart-centered workshop focused on connection—with self, Jewish roots, and community.

Program Details:
Dates: Wednesday evenings: November 5, 12, 19, 26 & December 3 & 10 (6 consecutive weeks)
Time: Evening workshop 7pm-8:30pm PST
Duration: 90-minute sessions
Participants: Open to 10
