Thriving Seniors Program – Navigating Dying, Death, and Mourning in the Jewish Tradition

Did you know Jews may do a “confessional” before death? Do you know why mourners tear their clothes at a funeral? Do you know the traditional length of time to mourn a spouse?

Learn about this and more as we join Rabbi Adam Stein of Congregation Beth Israel as he teaches us about the rituals involved in a person’s last days, death, and burial. He will also be discussing the funeral and mourning processed through a Jewish Lens.
